Anupama Nair

(Former) Program Coordinator, Future Earth South Asia Regional Office

Anupama Nair is the Executive Program Coordinator of the Future Earth GSH South Asia, and will continue to assist the planning and implementation of the Five-Year Knowledge-to-Action program on 'Tackling food and water insecurity, air pollution and associated health risks in South Asia,' as well as organizing various events and activities for the South Asia GSH and Regional Centre. She worked with the Bengaluru Water Solutions Lab and the Climate and Energy Policy group at the Divecha Centre for Climate Change, Indian Institute of Science, in addition to the Regional Office for Future Earth, for a year before joining Future Earth South Asia full-time. Anupama completed her Masters in Natural Resources and Governance in 2019 from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, shortly after receiving an Honours in Zoology from the University of Delhi. Her interdisciplinary background in the natural and social sciences fuels her interest in environmental governance and policy, which she hopes to engage with through her work. She is particularly interested in the science-policy interface and institutional mechanisms with regards to climate change adaptation in the Global South.
