Aditya Kaushik
Coordinator, Water Solutions Lab; South Asia Regional Office of Future Earth
Aditya K. Kaushik works as a project scientist at Divecha Centre for Climate Change at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru, India. He is currently the Program Coordinator for the "Water Solutions Lab" of the "Sustainable Water Future Programme" at Divecha Centre. The aim of the Water Solutions Lab is to address water sector related challenges in India by bridging the gap between science and policy and between knowledge and practice through a combination of advance scientific knowledge, multi-stakeholder involvement, and digital information technology. He is also a member of the international secretariat of the Sustainable Water Future program of Future Earth where he assists in science-policy communication and outreach activities aimed at making scientific information and concepts useful for policy-making. His research interests include exploring the use of emerging technologies such as blockchain in water governance and mapping the role science diplomacy in international relations. Prior to joining Divecha Centre, Kaushik worked for a mathematical computing firm called The MathWorks, Natick, Massachusetts in the area of application support and statistics and machine learning. Kaushik holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Master of Arts degree in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
